Play for Peace Program in Guatemala
Program on Conflict and Development and CDF introduced Play for Peace® activities for youth in Guatemala. Gardens were used as safe places to promote dialogue, inclusion and teamwork. Through collaborative play, kids learned how to cope with stress due to insecure and unfamiliar environments, poverty, and discrimination. The Play for Peace model teaches kids several skills to become architects and leaders of sustained peace.
